Huh! That is cool. Makes me wonder if a google door could be made for a BBS? :)

So this one is the arcade and extra levels? :)

So how much is it? Didn't see a price on the link you gave.

In Topic: Trying to decide between a 800XL VS. 5200

Fri May 11, 2012 7:07 PM

5200 is a lot of fun, but if you had only ONE to get, the 800 XL is the way to go.

Or as I would say, the beige 800... but the beige 800 is a bit more limited, but a lot closer to a 5200, but can load many many more games. :)

In Topic: Getting an Atari Jaguar for my B-day!

I was going to suggest Bubsy naturally since it is the most AWESOME platformer for the Jaguar. Yeh yeh, I know, he can't help it.

All kidding aside (since that above was my Bubsy impersonation) you already have that game, and with some practice it can be a really fun game.

Umm... can't suggest Pitfall enough. That game is VERY underrated. My favs have turned out to be: Bubsy (but it has a steep learning curve so be warned), Cybermorph (it grows on you), Tempest 2K (awesome), Doom (Amazing... try two player mode sometime though it is not perfect), and RAIDEN (good shoot em up.)

Wolfenstein 3D is a fun game and recently touted by the developer to be his favorite version. :)

Aside from that, see if you can get a rom loader of some type, or BJL solution. There are a lot of fun fan made games out there. (Kobashi Maru, Surrounded, Tetris, Pacmania, etc.)

In Topic: If I have a 2600... why get a 7800?

Thu May 10, 2012 1:48 PM

I have found the reverse question: If you have a 7800 that can play 7800 and 2600 games, why get a 2600?

Well, the fact is, the 7800 can play about 99.7% of the 2600 games with no problem so I have a 7800 when playing either.

But then if you have a 5200 with a fan made 7800 adaptor, you don't need either a 7800 or 2600 anymore. ;)
