Is there a Skunkboard project list?

Mon Apr 2, 2012 4:03 PM

I picked up a Skunkboard at MGC this year and am not entirely sure what to do with it. I understand that it doesn't act as a replacement for retail carts, but I've seen reference to betas and homebrews that have been released to run on it. Is there a central location for these or even just sites I can check for downloads?

Admittedly, I was hoping that it would act as a way to let me play some of my rarer, sealed games, but that was an incorrect assumption on my part so I'd just like to have something to do with it.

Another US SHMUP - Akai Katana Shin

Fri Jan 27, 2012 10:30 AM

Looks like Rising Star (the folks that brought Dodonpachi Resurrection to Europe) are going to be bringing Akai Katana Shin to both Europe and the US this year!

I've already got the Japanese release, but I'll be sure to support the US release so that it might influence them to localize some of the other releases.

This coupled with the release of Under Defeat HD are making 2012 look like another good year for the genre!

Odd copy of Boing

Sun Dec 25, 2011 1:33 PM

My parents bought me a copy of Boing for Christmas, but it's a variant I've never seen before. It has the label completely on the face of the cart, but it is not the Xonox style cart. It came fom Atari2600.com and looks 100% authentic, so I don't think it's fake. Just curious if there is a story with this or if it's just another variant.

Adam disk drive uses

Sun Dec 18, 2011 6:29 PM

I have a chance to get an Adam setup that has a disk drive. I've already got an Adam, so the drive is the only part of the setup I'm interested in, but can't seem to find many uses for it. Is there a compelling use for it? I'm not interested enough in the Adam to pony up for the SD solution.

So what can I do with this thing if I get it? Are disk images out there and is there a way to write them back to disk?
