FS: Gameroom/Cabinet Art

Mon May 14, 2012 6:50 PM

These are probably better suited as wall art than actual arcade use parts but you never know…I’m cleaning out the workshop and have some neat pieces for someone’s collection.

Pac Man CPO
I have a Wico Pac Man overlay. This was the generic alternative to the OEM Pac Man art that operators would have installed on a machine. These got heavily worn (as we all know) and Wico was, er, well, sort of “there”. I think they look more like worms than Pac Men, but we’ll go with this. It is the same weight and quality as an OEM one, just oddly different graphics. Does have adhesive and could certainly be used. Holes align with Ms. Pac or Pac control panels.

Nintendo Punch Out Side Art (with Sipem release?)
What the heck is a Sipem? Got me! This is the oddest sideart I have EVER seen. No proof of this, but I believe this to be an Italian version of the game. It is my understanding this was the company releasing this Nintendo title in some parts of Europe. It almost looks fake but the age and the limited googling I did says there are others like it out there (and why would you add a company to your fake art?). This is ONE side only. Corners are curled but you could use a hair dryer as you apply and get it perfectly flat. No creases.

Honestly, these two would make great arcade wall décor. If you wanted to use them on an arcade you certainly could but it seems silly given the amount of repro quality stuff out there. $35 shipped for both pieces. PM or post here if interested.

Thanks,
Cassidy

FS Sega 32X Game lot (10 games, extras) $40 shipped

Mon Oct 17, 2011 3:34 PM

I have a very nice lot of Sega 32X Games here for sale. Total of 10 games, working when last tested a few months back (before I sold my 32X adapter).

Here are the titles:
Star Wars (no manual)
Primal Rage (no manual)
Mortal Kombat II (manual)
WWF Raw (manual)
Virtua Racing (manual is rough)
Moto Cross (manual had Virtua Racing’s manual stuck to the back page, tape on spine)
Virtua Fighter (manual)
Shadow Squadron (manual)
Metal Head (manual)
Doom (manual)

I am also including a dust plug-in shield off of what I think is a model 3 Genesis (could be model 2?) and the converter cable for using the 32X on an older Generation 1 Genesis. If I am not mistaken, that is a fairly hard to find part.

Only interested in selling the lot. EITHER looking for a CLEAN and WORKING Intellivision shipped to me OR $40 for all this shipped to you (US shipping to the lower 48).

If you are interested, drop me a line. I will check my PM’s best I can this week (super busy right now). Thanks!

FS: Astrocade lot

Sat Sep 10, 2011 4:27 PM

Hi all,

Have a few carts and such for a Bally Astrocade/Videocade. As you can see in the pics, these are in good shape. Worked a few years ago when I had a system but cannot test them (assume they work, we can figure something out if something is awry).

Here's what I have:
Bally BASIC with overlay
Dog Patch 2010 with manual
Astro Battle 2009 with manual
Cosmic Raiders 2019 with manual
Owners Manual

And...something I think you Bally collectors will like....this is the plastic piece (cover) to the hard to find Montgomery Ward version of the system. As you can see in the pic, the rear plastic tab on the left side is missing a piece but there are no big scratches or cracks (no cracks at all) in the cover. The plastic could easily be perfect if you used some Novus cleaning compound on it. Color is good on the gold Montgomery Ward stamp as is the sticker on the right.

I am asking $38 for all of it, shipped in the US. If it is overseas, I will knock off the shipping charges and then you pay actual shipping cost.

PM me if you are interested. Thanks!

Interest check: Tempest arcade FS

Sat Sep 10, 2011 4:11 PM

Well this worked out great on the last few things I listed so here goes...

Have a very nice Tempest machine that I am considering parting with. It was on location in Texas at a movie theater into the 90's and has an amazing sideart condition for its use. It isn't banged up badly at all. Cabinet is super clean and solid. I installed a new marquee and control panel overlay. The monitor has the power supply upgrade as well. Original spinner knob has a plastic chunk missing, easy to swap out but I kind of like the fact it is as-used condition (the overlays just looked tatty to me). I keep my Star Wars yoke the same way...like the fact they aren't brand new...

Anyway, would be looking for 650 for it. I could ship it, maybe although that isn't high on my list of want-to's. If you're really interested, drop me a line and we can talk.

Interest Check: Magnavox Odyssey Collection for sale

Mon Aug 29, 2011 5:22 PM

Hi all,

I have an original (Production Run 1) Magnavox Odyssey system mint in box. Box has original shipping container as well as the inner boxes. All manuals, overlays, chips, etc. are there, even has the roll of tape. Someone wisely threw the batteries away (some people kept them...weird if you ask me). Boxed rifle and all overlays, plus the first six boxed games in a Magnavox shipping container. I have the power adapter for the wall as well (hard to find) and the overlays for Percepts, the mail away game.

Basically this is a turn-key collection for the serious collector. Unit works, just not very much fun to play! All styrofoam and inserts are there, all complete and very clean. Unit has been in a non-smoking home for 40 years. Battery compartment is perfect, not all broken and corroded.

I'd be looking for real money for it, mid $500's shipped. You won't find a nicer setup and you know it works before you buy it. I wrote the collector guide for this system back in the DP Guide-days. It is a neat system, just not something I use with any regularity.

If interested, PM me and I'll get some pics. The boxes are HUGE and I can't take a bath on shipping so we'd have to work together on it.

Thanks!
