Atari 2600/5200/7800/Lynx/Jaguar + Colecovision + Vectrex + arcade coin-ops ... modern gaming: PS2, X360, Wii, DS ... PC gaming for over 25 years.. video game history and research
These were originally sold by the company Artfaire, and each cardboard flat retailed for the low price of 79 cents. This price is on an attached tag that sometimes got removed.
I have a complete set. It is:
Asteroids
Battlezone
Centipede
Haunted House
Missile Command
Star Raiders
Super Breakout
Tempest
Warlords
Yars’ Revenge
Of those, Centipede and Asteroids seem to be the harder ones to get, followed maybe by Missile Command and Tempest. The most common ones appear to be Haunted House and Warlords. The others aren't too hard to find.
As for the Yars' Revenge and Warlords patches, those are from E3 last year, and as "new" Atari merchandise, they are extremely easy to get. They are, I should add, very well done.
Oh I forgot this little gem I won back in March - eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110845765181 - 5 Atari Age magazines + Imagic Numb Thumb Vol. 2 ... $2.99 - oooooh yeah!
Damn weirdest thing. The list I had generated in Notepad, the AA window did not like the cut'n'paste job. In particular item #8 was originally 8 followed by ), which got translated into the "cool" smiley, and that caused some weird crap to happen, and once I fixed that then I had an unclosed ebay tag that caused other weirdness. CACHEBUSTER! It's all good now.
