Tue May 22, 2012 7:46 PM

Sorry for starting a new thread, but the personal message and the other threads are very hard to search for just installation information. Here's my progress for this evening.

BadCoder

Seeing JagChris' posts about old Jag demos reminded me of the "BadCoder demos". Was his identity ever revealed?

Darkforce BBS

Mon May 7, 2012 12:17 PM

This question is mainly for the Dark Lord. I have successfully connected to several telnet BBSes using my 520ST. I am using a Lantronix UDS-10 device set to modem simulation mode. I have tried using 9600 and 19200 baud rates. The device is set to 8-bits per character, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control.

When typing on Darkforce, every character has j' inserted. I log in and issue menu commands, but I cannot type or save messages. It does not matter if I set Darkforce to ASCII, VT-52, or ANSI. I am not having this issue on any of the other telnet BBSes. Has anybody encountered this?

I'm finally in

Mon Apr 30, 2012 7:24 PM

After years of putting it off, I finally finished my 13-pin DIN to 6-pin DIN ST monitor cable. I have never used an ST before. I currently have a stock 520STFM hooked to a 1084S monitor (RGB). I'll be doing a ton of reading, as I have both an UltraSatan 2 and an HxC floppy emulator to get running with this. I also have a Lantronix box to configure. It's like Xmas came early :)
