What's the best/accepted way to find out what the 'current disk number' is? That is, when opening a file ( via XIO, in this case ) I would like to know what the 'current drive' is. For instance, the drive that a "copy dx:*.*" would wind up copying to. Is there a way to do that that is relatively portable across modern DOS's like RealDos and sparta? Is there an extended XIO code specifically for that?
