Agreed, but that is why you practice on a couple carts beforehand. CannibalCat will know exactly what his comfort level is after that.
While weighing isn't a bad idea, to get maximum value you have to open it. Reverse the situation -- if you wanted to get an authentic Atlantis II cart and pay big buck$, would you feel comfortable with only a picture of a scale weight? It would be like buying a collectible, used automobile and not be able to check under the hood.
Maybe I will try on a practice cart, if it goes smoothly then I'll try it for real.
seriously, dont do this. there are other other ways of confirming that this is real. by opening it up you will invariably de-value the cart when there is no need to do it. -

I've got a few Atlantis ROM's that are in too large of a package and have 4 pins on the end bent over (chips work fine)
