Just saw this on eBay, he wants $50 for an honestly advertised XEGS "Not working" with 2 light guns.

I was just typing up an offer for machine only, keep the guns, but decided why bother?

Can you see what the problem is? Click SPOILER to reveal second pic which makes it a lot more obvious.

Note: absense of keyboard is not the answer.

Moon Cresta updates

Wed Jan 4, 2012 8:02 AM

Just a few little additions for Moon Cresta, VBXE version as first seen on the NYD disk.
Playable on Altirra emulator or 48K minimum Atari with VBXE.

- Pause mode now available, press Space to pause/resume while playing.

- 2 Player and difficulty now selectable. While not playing, moving joystick 1 left/right cycles through the combinations.

- flashing indicator against score for current player.

Note that the display for score and players/difficulty is just a temporary one and there's still plenty to be added.
Big ship still in "stealth mode" when docked, that's high up on the to-do list.

Use the D6 or D7 suffixed file on your machine depending on type of VBXE install.

I'll periodically upload landmark updates as they happen. To-do list is pretty huge - more Pokey music to come, improvements to graphics and sounds, title screen, messages, high score etc etc.

The files are kinda huge - still plenty of fat to be trimmed, and there's no compression on these ones.

TIA sound application for Windows

Does such a thing exist? Alternatively, a similar program which could run under a 2600 or 7800 emulator would probably be just as good.

All I want is to be able to plug frequency and control values in and hear the sound.

Aim of this being to create a "nearest match" matrix for Pokey registers.

I'll probably end up doing it by employing formulas but it'd be handy to have a quick & easy way to verify my calculations.

7800 emulator with debug

Do any exist?

What I'd like is to be able to pause execution, then check out stuff like Display Lists, register values, memory.

Sound familiar ?

Just watching an old episode of "The Six Million Dollar Man" on TV.

Original air date was 1st November, 1974. I tend to think they just used dubbed in sound effects, but it almost matches a "quiet I/O" to an Atari disk drive.
