Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on where Boulder Dash stands. I now have all the materials on hand to start shipping Boulder Dash. This includes:

- Cartridge shells (recycled, cleaned and ready for use!)
- Special Boulder Dash-specific Melody circuit boards
- Labels
- Manuals
- Boxes
- Box inserts
- Polyethylene (plastic) bags (to protect the box!)
- ...and two special bonus items that haven't been revealed!

I'm now hard at work assembling and testing Boulder Dash carts, with a goal to ship as many copies as I can by the end of the month. There are still roughly 50 copies available, so if you haven't picked up a copy of this great game, don't hesitate or you may lose your chance! You can purchase it in the AtariAge Store here:

I saw this in my e-mail today... and the only thing I could think of was: "I hope both copies come in the same box". Albert, you and the other guys are to be commended! I can't wait to play this, and I hope those other 50 copies sell out quick. :-D

I purchased a second copy of BD. :-D If they could be shipped together, that would be awesome!

To the developers; if you guys wouldn't mind(when you have the time, of course), could I pose a few questions for an article for my website about the whole BD project? I do a weekly article called "RetroTechnoBabble", and plan on doing a full review of Boulder Dash for the 2600. A short interview would be awesome to include. :)

Are we going to have a boulderdash high score comp when we get these carts in our hands guys ? I am really really looking forward to opening my first new atari 2600 boxed game since I was 12 :-)

Oh, I'm sure there will be one. It's just a matter who is going to start it. :D

Question for Al, I may be able to order a second copy, I've already paid for the first copy. If I am able to afford the second, will there be a "combined" shipping cost, or will it be an additional $6? I'm just curious, and thought I'd post the question in this thread, since there may be others doing the same.

Personally, I always use a Pink Eraser to clean my carts connector strip first, then use rubbing alcohol to finish the job off. I have noticed that the eraser scrubs the contacts without doing any damage to them. You'll get a little bit of shavings floating around, but if the alcohol doesn't get rid of them, a quick shot with compressed air will.
