I've got one like that. I bought it new from G.A.M.E.S. in Van Nuys, CA. They also sold the ball tops for the CV JS, and other items. They would also advertise in the video game mags.
I installed a momentary button switch in line with the circuit, so that when Decathlon boots up scrambled with a droning noise and multicolored screen, the trigger short-clears the charge in the circuit and allows Decathlon to boot.
Is there information on this mod, as I would like to try it. Or is this the same mod in the original message "Compatibility Mod for Certain 2600 Games on 7800 Console'
He is at it again, he has them available for $114 at the site: http://www.colorcomputer.net/. I'm still waiting for mine, it will be 2 years in June. Don't know how he is selling them again when he put up a story saying he is unable to manufacture them anymore, and that he still has about 30 - 60 to still deliver. I think that was the number he quoted on the coco3.com website, the site is very flakey (doesn't work as often as it does).
Was the original package a box? Looked kinda like a big envelope. Did they actually cut the box itself, or maybe cut it when opening the original package? Just wondering
