Hey, everyone.
A small plug here, but only because I think this will be interesting to our community. We are just about ready to release our new book, called "SUPER iam8bit: More Art Inspired By Classic Video Games of the ’80s." The design firm that I own (Hexanine) designed the book, and we're co-publishing it with our partners at iam8bit. As with the previous volume, this book showcases artwork of dozens of artists who are interpreting characters and themes from classic video games in their work. This book is a collection of some of the best stuff submitted to the annual iam8bit art show in Los Angeles.
We're releasing the book next month at this year's art show in LA, and it'll be available at iam8bit.com and the regular retail places like Amazon, etc. This isn't really just a self-serving plug, because I wanted the AtariAge peeps to know that this is a passion project for all of us. Also, I know that if it were me, I'd want to know that some on the team (me) behind the book are classic gamer/collectors, and that we all share a deep love of video games.
I've posted some behind-the-scenes stuff at our blog, about the creation of the book. And if people are interested, I'll update this thread with more as we get it, and get some discussions going as well. Thanks!
