My phone doesn't take the best pictures. Here is my AtariVox. I know squat about electronics, but I would guess this is socketed? It looks like I could just pull out that EEPROM and push in another.

If that is the case, I can pay you to ship out a replacement. I appreciate your help! :D

It says 24LC256. Would installation be as simple as pulling out the old EEPROM and pushing in the new?

I guess I can get by without save support until the new batch of AtariVox units hits the Atariage store. I wanted one of the newer models anyway.

Thanks for the quick response.

I don't know that I have the capability to flash a new firmware. I guess I had better look into getting a newer model - if they're available.

I tried this today and found that the save function works on my Savekey, but not on my Atarivox. The game tells me that Savekey is found, but the score will not save. My Atarivox is an earlier model - before they came with a shell. Does anyone know if something changed later in development of the AtariVox that might make the save function incompatible with older models?
