5200 Switch Box PCB Question

Hmm. That's interesting. As of now, I have three four-port 5200s and only one working switchbox! Do you have to remove the RF shield to do the power mod?

For the power mod, I don't think you have to remove the shield.

I removed the shield from mine a long time ago and never put it back on.

I doesn't seem to have any effect on the system.

I have what seems to be a non-functioning 5200 switch box. It doesn't "click" when the power line is attached, and the 5200 does not power on with the red LED. Is there a way to tell visually if the box is kaput? Below is a photo of the PCB.

I had the same experience.

U1 chip on the switch box is damage.

Change that and the box will fire up again, in a local electric component shop you can easly find that chip (LM393N)
