Combat II Advanced Contest

Chris Johnson

November 20, 2002

The Combat II Advanced Contest is over and two winners have been chosen! The lucky recipients of limited edition Combat II Advanced cartridges are Chris Johnson of South Perth, Australia, and Fred Hiss of Arvada, Colorado. Thanks to everyone who submitted a postcard and made this a successful and enjoyable contest! You can view all the submitted postcards below.

If you'd like to order a Combat II Advanced cartridge, you may do so in our AtariAge Store. The first 100 copies feature a gold foil label similar to the two given away in this contest.

Mean Hamster Software and AtariAge are sponsoring a contest for the upcoming Combat II Advanced now in development for the Atari 5200. This contest will be accessible to everyone--all you need to do is send us a postcard, and two winners will be chosen at random to win autographed copies of the limited release of Combat II Advanced in November. These limited edition carts will have a unique reflective gold label to make them stand out from the later, general release of the game.

Combat II Advanced is John Swiderski's second game for the Atari 5200, his first being Haunted House II 3-D. In Combat II Advanced, up to four people (on a 4-port 5200) can take to the battlefield in a wide variety of vehicles, such as tanks, jets, helicopters and submarines. Each vehicle type has several different battlefields to choose from, and there also several game variations to add even more variety. Combat II Advanced will be available from the AtariAge Store in early November. The first 100 copies will feature a reflective, gold label that will be exclusive to this run of carts.

How To Enter

To enter the contest, simply send a postcard to the following address:

AtariAge Headquarters
PO Box 27217
Austin, TX 78755-2217

Please make sure to include your name and address on the postcard and take care that they are clearly legible. Postcards must be postmarked by Saturday, November 9, 2002! We will then wait one week for the last postcards to arrive. After the deadline has passed, two cards will be selected at random as the winners. We will then ship each of the winners their autographed copy of Combat II Advanced. Shipping charges (including those to international destinations) will be paid by us, but the winner is responsible for any import/duty taxes. Only one postcard per household, please.

Postcards will be scanned and will be displayed on this page. We will only scan the front of the postcard with the picture--no addresses or other personal information will be revealed.

Good luck, and remember, your postcard must be postmarked by November 9th and received by November 16th!
